How to Export Designs to HyperWorks Shell & 3D Models

The integrated FEA Toolbox simplifies the creation and preview of Shell and 3D models, allowing seamless export to HyperWorks for analysis. In the FEA Toolbox, you can define your FE model parameters (e.g. mesh size, element type, symmetry options, etc) and preview the model within the software. Next, you can easily export your FE model to HyperWorks where you can further define and analyze your model. Highlighted features from the FEA Toolbox:

  • Customizable mesh parameters: Set your preferred mesh size and symmetry options for obtaining a perfect balance of runtime and solution accuracy.

  • Tow-tracking algorithm: TaniqWind Pro's tow-tracking algorithm for the shell export precisely replicates the winding path, allowing analysis of the designed part as it would be produced.

  • Ply-based definitions: Import composite shell models with precise ply orientation and material settings using HyperWorks "Wound" laminate type for the best replication of filament wound patterns.

  • Multiple model types: Choose between tow tracking shell models, or a full 3D solid export for greater flexibility in capturing detailed internal stress distributions and out-of-plane responses.

Take your composites design process to the next level with TaniqWind Pro's seamless integration with Hyperworks and create high-quality models fast and efficiently. Watch our new tutorial on how to take the most advantage of this feature.
