Creating your post-processor becomes easy with TaniqWind Pro.

To make production programs you need a post-processor for your specific filament winding machine. Within TaniqWind you can now easily generate and customize a post-processor yourself. The ability to create and modify post-processors within the filament winding software is game-changing. It allows you to tailor your machine's operations to match your unique production requirements. Within the post-processor panel in TaniqWind Pro you can write a post-processor from scratch, use one of the available templates of a comparable machine or convert one of your production files into a post-processor file. Our latest tutorial of TaniqWind Pro guides you through the process of building a post-processor for your machine using an existing production file for your machine:

With TaniqWind Pro v1.06 onwards we can now edit layers in bulk by using layer groups!

Layer groups can be easily created for layers with similar characteristics to bulk edit their assigned material, machine paths, trajectories and more. Two weeks ago, we released a tutorial on how you can define your robotic winding or placement systems in TaniqWind Pro. However, apart from the software's capability of Robotic production, it also supports CNC production. This week, we demonstrate the ease of defining your CNC winding systems in TaniqWind Pro. This video explains all steps of the process, with a particular example of setting up a 5-axis CNC winding system. The demonstration helps you take full advantage of this feature, and efficiently integrate your CNC winding system into TaniqWind Pro.

Creating robotic winding programs made easy with TaniqWind Pro.

TaniqWind Pro is the only winding software that has a dedicated robotic post-processor.

• Easily create robotic winding programs with dedicated panels guiding you through the process step-by-step.

• Check for robot reachability or collision issues and easily solve these with visual support in the simulation panel.

• Improve your winding speeds with smart filtering of robot trajectories

• Optimize your robot movements using all degrees of freedom (DOFs) of the robot and additional axis (e.g. track).

With TaniqWind Pro, users can generate multiple hoop passes in a single step. This helps engineers save a lot of time and improves efficiency, making their design process effortless. The video provides an extended glimpse of what you can achieve with the Multi Hoop Pass feature.

During the winding process, you want to vary process parameters, like fiber tension or laser intensity, throughout your layers.

Instead of post-processing your production file to add these values, you can set these variables within the software. In the production setting panel, you can define layer groups and set a variable value per group. Or divide a profile into multiple sections (e.g. domes and cylinder) and set a variable value per section. This feature:

• Provides advanced control over your process parameters within each layer and section of your product.

• Saves you time (no post-processing required)

Having realistic build-up profiles is critical when designing multiple composite layers building on top of each other. If your profile in the design software is not accurate, your FE model is not representative of the actual product, and your winding paths/angles will deviate from the paths/angles designed in the software.

TaniqWind Pro has sophisticated mathematical models resulting in a realistic build-up prediction panel for filaments and tapes. With the right settings for your material, you will get a reliable prediction of your buildup profile. Furthermore, there are various options in the panel to modify the buildup profile; for example for smoothing the profile to get smoother machine movements. Using the build-up panel you create reliable profiles automatically, and can easily modify profiles with the various options in the toolbox.
